The Communication Studies Study Program, UIN Sunan Kalijaga, succeeded in collaborating with the Association of Indonesian Public Relations Companies (APPRI) in the Apprientice program. The Apprientice Program is a three-month internship program initiated by APPRI to improve students' PR skills.
Currently, the Apprientice program has entered the second batch and is collaborating with 16 universities in Indonesia to become partners. The program, which will run for three months, from September to December 2021, will be conducted online and selected students can study directly at various PR agencies in Indonesia. In this second batch, each partner university was asked to send five students and the five selected Communication Studies students to take part in the second batch of Apprientice programs, namely Niken Rachma Z, Jamaludin Asrofi, Diah Sri, Yusansia Amorita F, and Anita Rahmasari. In addition to being active in college, these five students are also active administrators of the Public Relations Oriented (PRO) community. Head of Communication Studies Study Program, Dr. Rama Kertamukti, M.Sn. provide direct direction to five prospective apprentices and hope that these five students will later be able to gain more knowledge and share it with other friends so that the benefits obtained from this program are not felt by themselves.
