Communication Science Study Program of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta again held a public lecture on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. The event, which was broadcast live through the Zoom Meeting platform and Youtube Fishum UIN SUKA, received great enthusiasm from the students of Communication Science. The holding of this public lecture aims to provide knowledge and add new insights to Communication Science students about the world of protocol.
Head of Communication Science Study Program, Dr. Rama Kertamukti, M.Sn, through his remarks said that communication talks about messages that must be the same to mean the same message. Because if there is no similarity in the meaning of messages in communication, there will be disputes and conflicts arising. "Protocol is part of making lines so that the meaning of messages in communication is the same," he said.
Furthermore, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Mochamad Sodiq, M.Si, in his remarks instructed students to pay attention to the material to be conveyed properly because this is a very important knowledge that can be used to support the knowledge that has been given by the lecturers. Apart from giving a speech, on this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities also opened a general lecture for the Communication Science study program.
On this occasion, Muhammad Yunanto explained A to Z regarding protocol, starting from the basis of protocol, the law on protocols, the scope of protocols, what a protocol must do to what protocols are during the new normal adaptation period at the Ministry of Education and Culture at this time. He also shared his stories and experiences from being a protocol at the Ministry of Education and Culture to the public lecture participants. Muhammad Yunanto also said that to become a protocol one must have a spirit of loyalty, initiative, detail, communicative, cooperative, responsive, responsive, flexible and must be responsible.
After getting material about protocol, it is hoped that students can immediately practice it in various activities and events that will be held and to always hone their skills so that they become more reliable so that they can be used as provisions for pursuing careers in the future.
