Advertising

Advertising is one of the marketing components used to launch persuasive communication to the target public. Advertising is then a communication to fulfill the marketing function that is used to persuade consumers to behave in such a way according to the company's marketing strategy to get sales and profits. In his study found elements of the art of communicating both verbally and non-verbally.

The concentration of Advertising at the Communication Studies Program of UIN Sunan Kalijaga itself focuses on the study process regarding strategic planning, production execution to strengthening instruments for monitoring the effectiveness of each element in advertising campaigns. To complete the three stages, the Communication Studies Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga provides students with ammunition for studies on Advertising Management, Media Buying Research, Advertising Media Planning, Advertising Creative Planning, Advertising Production, Copy Writing, Communication Design, Advertising Photography, Advertising Law and Ethics, Advertising Presentation Techniques and Capita Selecta Advertising

In addition to strengthening academic competence by introducing courses on the world of Advertising, the Advertising Concentration Communication Studies Program also encourages students to compete in Advertising Events both locally, nationally and internationally. Not only participating as participants in an Advertising competition, students are also encouraged to make the annual national ADUIN event a separate medium for Advertising students of the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Communication Studies Program to take part in the process of introducing themselves to the world of advertising. In addition, in semester 7 students are required to take an internship which requires them to get to know more about careers in the Industries of Advertising.

 

Public Relations

As one of the components of marketing, Public Relations examines how to create a good image of the organization. The formation of a good public image of the organization will have an impact on product marketing because of the trust that is formed. Public Relations studies are also concerned with communication that can instill understanding, foster participation motivation in order to instill trust, mutual understanding and a good image of the public.

The concentration of Public Relations of the Communication Studies Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta then deals with the planning process of the Public Relations program, execution of work programs, to monitoring the effectiveness of the program to build a good public image of the organization. The courses used to strengthen the three stages are the Public Relations Concentration of the Communication Studies Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga which is equipped with Public Speaking and presentation courses, Crisis Management, PR Professional Ethics, PR Management, PR Research, PR Media Production, Protocol and MC, PR Writing, CSR, Capita Selecta PR, Lobby and Negotiation, Event of PR, Human Relations, and PR Photography.
