MoU Signing of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Communication Science Study Programme with Semesta Network for MBKM Partnership Activities

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr Rama Kertamukti, Head of Communication Studies, and Dr Fatma Dian Pratiwi, Secretary of Communication Studies. From Semesta Network, Community Manager Riky Riantobi and Herni Putrianti were present.

The main purpose of this MoU is to strengthen collaboration between the academic world and industry in order to implement the MBKM programme launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture. This cooperation includes various activities such as internships, research projects, workshops, and seminars designed to improve student competencies and provide practical experience relevant to the world of work.

Dr Rama Kertamukti in his speech said, ‘The collaboration with Semesta Network is a strategic step to integrate theory and practice. We hope that Communication Science students can utilise this opportunity to develop their skills in accordance with current industry needs.’
Mentoring and Support

Riky Riantobi, as Community Manager of Semesta Network, explained that his company is ready to provide full support in the implementation of the agreed programmes. ‘We are committed to providing the best learning experience for students through various programmes that we will run together. Our support includes providing mentors, facilitators, and access to our resources,’ he said.

Herni Putrianti added that Semesta Network has a vision that is in line with MBKM's goals. ‘We believe that quality education should be supported by practical experience. Therefore, we are excited to partner with UIN Sunan Kalijaga in this endeavour,’ Herni said.

Workshops and Seminars: Organisation of workshops and seminars that bring practitioners and experts from Semesta Network to share their knowledge and experience with students.

Curriculum Development: Semesta Network's participation in curriculum development to ensure that the material taught on campus is relevant to the latest developments in the communications industry.

Dr Fatma Dian Pratiwi, Secretary of Communication Science, said that this partnership is expected to have a significant positive impact on students. ‘With this partnership, we hope students can develop the practical skills needed in the world of work and increase their competitiveness in the labour market. This is also part of our efforts to continuously improve the quality of education at UIN Sunan Kalijaga,’ said Dr Fatma.
