Students are required to carry out internship programs at an institution both public and private before obtaining their degree. The increasing demands of the world of work have resulted in the internship process becoming very important for the future.
All universities organizing the Communication Science Study Program require their students to take part in the KKK program, including the Communication Science Study Program, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. KKK is a practical course that is required of all students, with the aim of introducing and preparing students to enter the world of work professionally through the ability to apply science in their work.
Communication Work Lectures (KKK) require the latest guidance based on the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum starting to be implemented by universities in Indonesia. Anticipation was carried out by the Communication Science Study Program by inviting the Accessor of BAN-PT who is also the Head of the Department of Communication Sciences Unsoed Purwokerto, Dr. S. Bekti Istiyanto, M.Si. This is the reason behind the need for new guidelines for students and institutions in implementing KKK. KKK is an internship carried out by Communication Science students as a series of learning activities to achieve a Bachelor of Communication Science (S.I.Kom) degree.
