Success! PR Crisis Webinar By The Komunitas Pro Attention 100 More Participants

Sense of crisis is something that a public relations (PR) must have, a sense of crisis will help in solving public relations (PR) problems or crises experienced by a public relations (PR). Intelligence, courage, adaptability are the keys to finding a sense of crisis.

This interesting discussion about the sense of crisis was discussed thoroughly in the Webinar "Sense of Crisis in the Digital Era" on Friday (1/4) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta. This webinar presents three authors of the PR Crisis book who are also resource persons in this event. The three are Dr. Firsan Nova as CEO of Nexus Risk Mitigation and Strategic Communication, Dian Agustine Nuriman (Founder of Nagaru Communication), and Republika journalist, Mohammad Akbar. This webinar aims to provide insight to students about the importance of having a sense of crisis in this digital era.

Firsan Nova said that a public relations officer can train his sense of crisis when he knows the 3K in his own sense, namely intelligence, courage, and high adaptability are the keys. He also added that the sense of this crisis sometimes needs to be made aware. "The sense of crisis already exists in a person but sometimes when facing a crisis, that sense needs to be reminded or made aware to control the situation that occurs. Then to face a crisis, absolutely we must have 3K," explained Firsan Nova.

Republika journalist, Muhammad Akbar, also added that the sense of crisis in dealing with the media during a crisis was very important. The media are very happy to be noticed, given convenience, and considered like friends. Therefore, true PR must be able to have sensitivity to the media when a crisis occurs.

In closing, UIN Sunan Kalijaga communication science student, Khoiru Roja Insani, gave his response regarding the webinar event "Sense of Crisis in Digital Era". “Sas a student of communication science, especially the PR concentration, participating in the PRO webinar with NEXUS: “Sense of Crisis in Digital Era” provides a new understanding and insight that being a PR requires having a sense. A PR is required to be sensitive to the environment, have a sense of responsibility, discipline, and help. Even though I, who is still in my fourth semester, haven't taken a crisis management course. However, for me, attending this webinar is more than enough to provide an overview of how a PR person handles a crisis and it is directly delivered by an expert. Thank you PRO and NEXUS for organizing such an amazing event. Look forward to the next similar events!” said the student who is familiarly called Sani. (AC)
