Students of the Communication Studies Program made a media visit to the daily office of Republika Yogya on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. This visit was carried out as one of the agenda for the Mass Media and Online Media Management course. Welcomed by the Chief Editor of Republika Jogja, the visit gave a lot of new knowledge to Communication Science students.

On this occasion, Yusuf Assidiq, Chief Editor of Republika Jogja, welcomed the arrival of the students as well as directly accompanied the discussion and question and answer session during the visit. To open the discussion, Yusuf gave a general explanation about Republika as a print media which had been established since 1993 and currently has a digital portal as a place to distribute news other than print newspapers.

In addition, Yusuf also explained how the media management in Republika, from the history of its birth to the development of Republika, how the process moved to using digital media, and how the media management process started from planning (planning), organizing (setting), actuating (implementation) , to controlling (controlling). Then followed by a question and answer session. The various information conveyed can become new knowledge and knowledge for the visiting participants.

Through this visit, Yusuf expressed his enthusiasm for receiving visits from students. “I am happy with this visit, while sharing experiences and knowledge about newspapers to young people. Republika even opens the door as wide as possible if you want to do an internship here, hehehe.” Terang Yusuf who gave an internship opportunity.
