The Communication Science Study Program of UIN Sunan Kalijaga is aware that the field of communication science research studies is becoming very broad. Just look at how communication, which has even started from the intrapersonal level to the masses, has interesting topics that keep on coming up for research. The breadth of the study of communication is accompanied by the demand for the efficiency of academic work for the development of society.

The limited number of academics in the Communication Studies Program of UIN Sunan Kalijaga demands the dissemination of communication studies conducted by academics so that the needs of scientific development for mankind, especially in the field of communication science can be met. The workshop activity on the preparation of the communication research directory book is structured to facilitate the division of the realm of communication science studies that will be carried out by academics in both quantitative and qualitative research methods. This workshop activity will also finalize the division of the field of communication science research in accordance with the research quality standards that have been determined by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. With so many developments, the communication science study program held The Hybrid Workshop with the theme of Bibliometrics in communication science aims to analyze communication studies aimed at lecturers at the Communication Science Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga in order to map out the research studies being occupied or being researched.
