The student team of the Communication Studies Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta won 1st place at the 2021 National Seminar on Communication Science Students at the University of Mataram. The UIN Sunan Kalijaga team consists of Muhammad Ibn Majah, Elva Oktafiani, and Muhammad Thufeil Imtinan K, all of whom are class 2019. The winners of the competition were announced on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 and broadcast live from the University of Mataram.

This team made a paper entitled "The Urgency of Digital-Based Information Services in the Covid-19 Pandemic". The idea for writing came from various national journals with the theme of the contribution of digital technology to the response during the Covid 19 pandemic. The three worked hand in hand to collect all scientific articles in Indonesia starting from January to August 2021. They found that, published scientific research from January-August 2021 discussing the covid-19 pandemic and its relationship with digital technology is very much. This publication demonstrates the ease of digital technology in helping the Indonesian people to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. But in reality the increase in the number of patients until the government implements the PPKM Mandiri policy (July-August 2021) continues to increase.Increasing the economy by strengthening digital technology to bring together buyers and sellers in tackling the decline in purchasing power and many transactions are written. However, technology to cope with the increasing number of patients and deaths due to the COVID-19 pandemic is not sufficiently considered in published scientific articles, so that the public is not given sufficient knowledge about COVID-19 through digital technology.

These results can provideinput on digital technology policies that should be carried out by the Government of Indonesia to help reduce the number of patients and deaths due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the future, this team will compete in the national LKTI competition by competing in the 2021 Unlimited Competition, congratulations on competing.
