Communication Studies Study Program through the Kapita Selekta Public Relations course again presents lecture activities with guest lecturers. On this occasion, the class taught by Mrs. Marfuah Sri Sanityastuti, M.Sc. presenting resource person Rifki Praditya, SIKom. who is an alumni of the Communication Studies study program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga. At the activity which was held on Monday, February 21, 2022, Rifki shared his experiences as a PR practitioner in a company. Now he works as part of corporate communications at PT Sumber Bintang Perkasa.

Also on this occasion, Rifki shared his experience as a PR practitioner in a company to the 2019 Communication Science students. He also explained what corporate communications is and its function in a company. This is certainly a new knowledge for students because they can get to know the world of PR professionals from the bench directly from practitioners. From this, students can have an idea of ​​the world of public relations in companies. Interactive discussions also occurred when the activity took place, the students were active to dig up more information from one of the alumni of this Communication Studies study program.

“I personally feel happy with this activity. I got to know how in-house PR practices are, what the challenges are and what they do. Of course, this activity gave me new knowledge and gave an overview of the PR career in the company,” said Niken, one of the participants in this lecture. (NRZ)
