On 3 June 2024, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta's Communication Studies Program held an international guest lecture with the theme ‘Media, Events, and Capital’. This event presented Prof Thomas Horky from Macromedia University, Germany, as the main speaker. The guest lecture took place at the GKT Building of UIN Sunan Kalijaga and was attended by students and lecturers from various faculties.

Prof Thomas Horky, who has expertise in media and communication studies, shared insights on the interaction between media, event organisation, and aspects of capital in a global context. The event aimed to broaden academic and practical insights in the field of communication science, especially for UIN Sunan Kalijaga students.

This guest lecture is part of the efforts to internationalise and improve the quality of education at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, which consistently invites experts from various countries to share knowledge and experience.
