PREPARING TO BECOME A RELIABLE ADVERTISING PRACTITIONER IN ADVERTISING TRAINING ACTIVITIES

After successfully holding a Public Relations training activity, the Communication Studies Study Program of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta has again successfully held Advertising training activities for students on 29-31 July 2021. This activity presents reliable resource persons in the field of advertising such as Assoc Prof. Dr. Osama Kanaker (Expert on Islamic Communication Studies at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia), Dr. Suria Hani A. Rahman (Expert in Media Studies at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia), Sya'bani Takdir, SIKom. (CEO of Media Labs, Digital Communication Agency), Dirga Naufal W (Search Engine Optimization Expert), Andhita Vidya Putri, M.Sc. (Ministry of Finance), and Yazied Syafaat (Creative Director of Srengenge Idea Lab). Still taking place online using Zoom Meeting media, In this activity, students gain more knowledge and insight about the world of advertising and its practice in the future. The materials presented by the speakers were also very interesting, such as:Associate Prof. Dr. Osama Kanaker who conveyed the concept of Islamic Advertising to students, Dr. Suria Hani A. Rahman who shared her knowledge about Creatives Media in Malaysia, knowledge and experience stories from Sya'bani Takdir, SIKom on client handling, learned Search Engine Optimization or better known as SEO from Dirga Naufal who is an SEO expert, material on how to achieve this. Marketing and Advertising Strategy in Achieving The Top of Mind by Andhita Vidya Putri, M.Si. and knowledge about content marketing delivered by Yazied Syafaaat.
Secretary of Communication Science, Dr. Diah Ajeng Purwani, M.Sc., also welcomed this training event. "Hopefully, the opportunity for the next three days can be used by Communication Science friends to gain as much knowledge as possible. Especially in this pandemic era, advertising strategies have changed a lot. The theory that has existed so far may have turned into something that had not been imagined so far," said the Secretary of the Communication Science Study Program. He also hopes that this event can be useful for all of us and is supported by various things in our environment. In his speech, Dr. Mochammad Sodiq, M.Sc., as the dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities said that strengthening such events is very important because the current era is an era where we must strengthen capacity, both personal capacity and institutional capacity. "I'm sure this event will be very useful, therefore science is also a science that not everyone can and everyone can afford, therefore this is a special science," he said.
The Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities also added that the knowledge gained from this training would be a very good provision for the future.
