The Public Relations Oriented Community (PRO) of the State Islamic University of Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta held a PRO Sharing activity in Pemulung Village, Jalan Palemwulung, Banguntapan, Bantul (14/4). PRO Sharing is an activity initiated by the PRO Community as a form of concern for people in need. In this activity, the PRO community distributed 32 iftar packages and 13 basic food packages to 13 heads of families in Pemulung Village. This activity began with a friendly meeting with the residents of Kampung Pemulung and ended with the distribution of breaking fast food and basic necessities.

“In accordance with the vision that was brought in this period, we want to grow together and provide benefits to others with our work programs. The PRO community does not only want to have an impact on friends in the internal community and Communication Studies study program. PRO Sharing is one of the work programs that support our vision. We want to give a good social impact to those in need, especially in the month of Ramadan. Hopefully what we are doing today can be useful for them and can inspire other communities to move to have an impact on the internal and external public," explained Niken as the head of PRO.

Maya Sandra Rosita Dewi as PRO coach really appreciates this activity. “I represent the Communication Studies Study Program very much appreciate the PRO Sharing activities initiated by PRO friends. In addition to sharing sustenance to people in need, this activity is a forum for fostering a sense of responsibility and empathy for others, especially among teenagers. Hopefully this very positive activity can be carried out regularly and is expected to increase the experience in order to become a person who is professional, responsible, and sensitive to the surrounding environment,” explained Maya.
