UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Communication Science Study Program held a comparative study visit on October 16, 2023 to the Communication Science Study Program of Jenderal Soedirman University (Unsoed) Purwokerto. The main focus of this visit was to discuss the implementation of the Independent Campus Learning Curriculum (KBM) and its application in the field of Communication Science.
The team from UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, led by Dr. Rama Kertamukti and the MBKM team of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Communication Science Study Program (Dr. Fatma Dian Pratiwi, Siantari Rihartono, M.Si, Marfuah Sanityastuti, M.Si, Yanti Dwi Astuti, M.Si) and warmly received by the Head of UNSOED Purwokerto Communication Science Dr. Wisnu Widjanarko and the Unsoed team in the Communication Science Study Program Meeting Room.

Dr. Wisnu Widjanarko, welcomed the team from UIN Sunan Kalijaga with enthusiasm. He stated, "This visit is a form of good cooperation between universities. We can learn from each other and exchange experiences to advance the quality of education in the field of Communication Science."
The meeting began with a brief presentation by Dr. Agoeng Nugroho, Chair of the MBKM curriculum implemented at Unsoed. He explained how the KBM provides flexibility for students to design their own study path, with a wide selection of courses across study programs.
Furthermore, Siantari Rihartono, M.Si from UIN Sunan Kalijaga expressed his appreciation for the KBM approach promoted by Unsoed. "We are very interested in the concept of Merdeka Belajar and hope to adapt it at UIN Sunan Kalijaga."

Kedua belah pihak sepakat untuk menjalin kerjasama lebih lanjut, termasuk pertukaran dosen, penelitian bersama, dan kegiatan akademik lainnya. "Melalui kolaborasi ini, kita dapat memperkaya pengalaman akademis mahasiswa dan meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di kedua perguruan tinggi," tambah Dr. Wisnu Widjanarko

Kunjungan studi banding ini diharapkan dapat menjadi langkah awal untuk membangun jaringan kerjasama yang lebih erat antara UIN Sunan Kalijaga dan Unsoed Purwokerto di bidang pendidikan tinggi, khususnya Ilmu Komunikasi.
