The Communication Science Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, the Center for Digital Creative Movement Studies and the Bung Karno Sports Communication Study Center held a seminar series entitled "Creativity in The Sportainment and Media Space" on 20 Nov 2023. This event was attended by hundreds of participants from among students. , lecturers, industry practitioners, and the general public who have an interest in sports, entertainment, and media.

This seminar series presents world-class speakers, namely Prof. Shaun Anderson, Ph.D., from Loyola Marymount University, USA. Prof. Anderson, who has a global reputation in sports and media, provides deep insight into creativity in the sports and entertainment space.

Apart from international speakers, this seminar also invited a number of national experts who were no less qualified. Dr. Meistra Budiasa, MA, from the Bung Karno Center for Sports Communication Studies, discussed the latest developments in sports communication studies in Indonesia. Dr. Rama Kertamukti, M.Sn, Head of Communication Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta, provided an academic perspective.

Not only that, Dr. Fatma Dian P, M.Si, lecturer in the field of communication from UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta, also shared her thoughts regarding the integration of creativity in the media and sports space.

This event is an opportunity for participants to gain in-depth insight into the role of creativity in dealing with the dynamics of media and sports. Interactive discussions between resource persons and participants also colored this activity, enabling the exchange of valuable ideas and views.

"This seminar series not only opens insight, but also provides inspiration for the younger generation who want to be involved in the world of media, sports and entertainment. Creativity is the key to success in facing rapid changes in this digital era," said Dr. Meistra Budiasa, MA, as chairman of the event committee.

It is hoped that the seminar series "Creativity in The Sportainment and Media Space" will be the first step in motivating Indonesian youth to continue to innovate and be creative in this ever-growing field.
