Debriefing of Communication Work Lectures for Students of Communication Studies Study Program

Communication Work Lecture (KKK) through Zoom Meeting
Monday morning (20/06), Communication Studies Program, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, held a Communication Work Lecture (KKK) through Zoom Meeting. The event also invited resource persons who were very competent in their fields as well as invited alumni who had previously undergone KKK activities to overseas. The Communication Work Lecture is also a compulsory subject that must be taken by students in lecture activities. This event was attended by at least 120 students of the Communication Science study program.
The KKK briefing activity was opened directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities Dr. Mochamad Sodik, S.Sos., M.Sc., in his speech he advised students to take as much knowledge as possible from this debriefing activity because later the Communication Studies study program will become its own faculty, namely the Faculty of Communication Studies (FIKOM). In addition, the Dean of Fishum also hopes that students and students of the Communication Science study program will be able to have a life grip that will be able to help in the future. "All of you must have good habits (amulets), such as getting up every night praying at night or at least being able to fast Monday or Thursday, so that this will help you in the future", he added while encouraging the students.

Sos., MSn, It also gives encouragement to students in the Communication Science study program so that internships will not only be a place to find grades, but students must also have experience so that students' skills and potential for work will be prepared for work. This event was also hosted directly by Dra. Marfuah Sri Sanityastuti, M.Sc.as well as several lecturers of the Communication Science study program.
The first resource person, Misbahul Munir, SIKom. It gives an idea of how best to be ethical/behave in the workplace in the future. He also advised that the habits or routines that you will do later are also very important. "Make improvements 1% better every day consistently and start making a list of the achievements you want to achieve", he emphasized in conveying the material in a straightforward and relaxed manner in the first session.
second speaker, Durrotul Mas'dah, SIKom., MA., who incidentally is a lecturer in the Communication Science study program who is also an alumni of communication science who had experienced his experiences as a student abroad. It provides a very valuable experience for students and motivates them to take full advantage of KKK activities. "If I could turn back time, I would like to go back in time and take as many internships as I need to go abroad to support my future tomorrow," said his nickname.
The third resource person, Kharolin Hilda Amazona, SIKom., is also an alumni of the Communication Studies study program who has experienced an internship abroad, more specifically the Bremen Overseas Research and Development Association (BORDA Indonesia) as a German NGO in the field of Public Relations for 1 month. He also explained to the students what students had to do to find an internship. It also provides an overview of the considerations and benefits of an internship abroad. "I think that ethics, communicativeness, initiative and proactive attitude are what a supervisor will like when you do an internship", he added while motivating the students who attended.
The fourth resource persons, Elyas Nur Kholik and Taufik Ridwan from the Association of Indonesian Advertising Companies (P3i) Pemda DI Yogyakarta, also took the time to attend and make offers to all communication science students, especially to be able to carry out their internships at the companies they manage. In the third session or the last session, the Communication Science study program also invited Zoel Arief Iskandar, SIKom., MA., as the fifth resource person who now serves as the Public Relations Officer of the Secretariat General of the DPR RI. He also received his undergraduate education in the Communication Science study program at Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University and then continued his studies at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences UGM for a Masters in Political Communication. Furthermore, it provides guidance on effective communication in the workplace; how students can understand effective communication and its characteristics, benefits, how to understand the conditions of the work environment to provide a way to build effective communication in the work environment. "
The main event of this briefing was ended with an explanation from Dra. Marfuah Sri Sanityastuti, M.Sc., regarding what students should do to implement this KKK. From start to take part in the KKK briefing, finding the location of the KKK, making proposals guided by the Field Supervisor (DPL), implementing the KKK under the guidance of the Field Supervisor (PL), then making a KKK report under the guidance of the DPL for carrying out the KKK exam. From the series mentioned earlier, students then only get grades for their compulsory lectures.
