The Communication Studies Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta received a visit from the Malikussaleh University Aceh on March 29, 2020. The group included Bobby Rahman, S.Sos. M.Si, as Head of the Department of Political Science and Communication Studies, Harinawati, S.Sos, MA Head of Communication Studies Study Program, and T. Muzzafarsyah, S.IP, MAP Head of Political Science Study Program. Malikussaleh universityconduct benchmarking or comparative visits in the context of strengthening in the field of cooperation and implementation of the Independent Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM). Fishum Dean Dr. Mochamad Sodik welcomed the arrival of the group by giving a speech that the visit of the Malikussaleh University group in Aceh was something that united two cultures that had strong academic roots. "Benchmarking of the University of Malikussaleh Aceh is a space to build strong academics between institutions as a reinforcement in the preparation of MBKM," said Dean Fishum.

Bobby Rahman as the representative of the group hoped that the benchmarking carried out by friends from the Malikussaleh University in Aceh would be a means of developing academic quality and preparing MBKM for his university and also building ukhuwah that has been going on for a long time. The benchmarking activity was closed with the signing of the PKS (cooperation agreement) on the MBKM program carried out by the two institutions and the exchange of souvenirs.
