Jakarta, November 29, 2024 – The Communication Studies Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta held a Student Activity to iNews Media Group at MNC Center Complex in Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, on Friday, November 29. The visit was warmly welcomed by the News Production Manager of RCTI, Herik Kurniawan.

The activity aimed to provide students with firsthand insights into the production processes in the field of journalism, especially at iNews Media Group. In his speech, Herik Kurniawan explained the challenges and opportunities faced by the television industry in the era of digitalization. "The television business will certainly change, but I believe journalism will never disappear," he stated

Irfan Fadli, the Production Manager at GTV, led the tour and provided explanations about the integration process at iNews Media Group, which manages news programming across all MNC Group platforms, including television and digital news portals. "At iNews Media Group, we emphasize the importance of integrating various media units under MNC Group to facilitate the coverage process," he said.

During the tour, students and faculty members were invited to explore various work areas at iNews Media Group, such as the newsroom, editing room, production control room, also the iNews and RCTI studios. Students also had the opportunity to experience being news presenters using a prompter in the studio set.

This visit is expected not only to provide technical understanding of news production but also to motivate students to become more familiar with the media and journalism world. Through hands-on experience in the field, students can observe how the work processes in the media industry. (div/hel/red)
